Accommodation in Tampere is primarily organized by the Tampere Student Housing Foundation (TOAS), which offers over 9,000 apartments throughout the city. While the city does not have on-campus dormitories in the traditional sense, TOAS provides high-quality, student-priced housing that includes internet, electricity, and often gym access. Shared apartment rooms are very affordable, typically ranging from €240 to €450, while private studios in popular central neighborhoods like Keskusta or Kyttälä generally cost between €500 and €750. For those studying at the tech hub, the Hervanta district offers a dedicated residential community with its own shopping centers and sports facilities, ensuring a high standard of living within a short walk or tram ride of the classrooms.
