In the Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication program, you'll become adept at professional writing, public relations, journalism, public speaking and digital communications. In the Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies you will learn about the Canadian justice field and gain a practical understanding of contemporary justice issues. You'll also study concepts related to global justice and indigenous perspectives on justice. This program is meant for current and aspiring professionals in justice-related institutions or agencies such as law enforcement, victim services, or legal departments within government and business. You want to learn about the world around you, to help it change for the better. You are passionate about science and the environment and want to put that energy to work. The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science program lets you build on your existing knowledge of environmental science. This team-based degree-completion program brings together theory and practical laboratory and fieldwork skills. You’ll learn about environmental management, economics, law, communications, and sustainable development. You’ll also spend time in our on-campus, state-of-the-art laboratories, giving you experience in laboratory practice and procedures as well as the foundations of environmental science with chemistry, hydrology, ecotoxicology and ecology. Besides the environmental science learning, you’ll cross-train with other disciplines, like social sciences and humanities. This helps you become better able to analyze and solve problems around complex environmental issues. You'll also learn to identify the gaps in your knowledge and skills, and to fill those gaps in a way that lets you use your existing knowledge and skills to address the problem at hand. With environmental and scientific knowledge applied to team-based practice, you'll be well-prepared for leadership in the industry, government and environmental consulting.

The Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management (BCom) is designed to develop your capacity to be an entrepreneurial thinker and doer — someone who envisions what is possible and makes it happen. The BCom is an applied business degree that will help you gain knowledge and know-how that is in high demand but in short supply. You'll complete years three and four of your undergraduate degree (60 credits) and gain the skills and experience to expand your professional opportunities, make a career change, advance an intra or entrepreneurial idea, and take on your next challenge. Learn while you work The BCom is delivered primarily online over 30 months (with a 24-month accelerated completion option available) starting each Spring and Fall. Its unique blend of online courses and three short on-campus residencies enables you to pursue your degree while you work - which only makes the learning more real, relevant, and impactful. Develop an entrepreneurial edge Entrepreneurial management is the active application of an entrepreneurial mindset and associated entrepreneurial principles and practices to create and deliver value — be it through an endeavour, project, or venture that innovates on what already exists or brings something entirely new to the market. The first half of the program focuses on the theme of exploration/discovery — of self, the entrepreneurial mindset, the broader marketplace and business environment, business models and modelling, and entrepreneurial opportunities — culminating in identifying an idea for an entrepreneurial endeavour you could action. The second half of the program focuses on applying your learning to this idea, building out a potential business model and developing a plan to bring the idea to life. Think of it as individualized project-based learning. You'll write a paper that includes recommendations for ways the organization can address the issue and develop an implementation plan.
