The course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to become an information technology professional. Students will learn core technical skills in the areas of computer and database systems, programming, networking, and IT security, in addition to professional skills such as effective communication and teamwork. Students will also undertake a major in one of the following areas: software & application development, network engineering, cyber security or web development. The course includes a number of small industry aligned subjects providing transferable skills, such as building resilience, building emotional intelligence, as well as subjects to help build a personal portfolio designed to encourage personal development skills. Subjects on Indigenous and ethics studies help develop an understanding of social justice, tolerance and cultural diversity. The course concludes with a work placement or experience and capstone subjects where students will undertake a project in their major area. The course will be delivered using mixed mode, with more face to face interactions in first year, moving to blended or fully online in later year subjects.

The Bachelor of Nursing at Charles Sturt University promotes understanding of social, ethical, culture and caring in all contexts that Registered Nurses work. The Bachelor of Nursing course will produce safe and competent graduates who use critical thinking and clinical reasoning to care for the public using evidence based practice. Bachelor of Nursing graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills essential for safe nursing practice in a rapidly changing and complex health care environment.​

The course aims to provide a four year social work program on campus and by distance that will lead to professional accreditation with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). The course aims to produce social workers in rural and regional Australia where there is a national shortage and to open the profession to students unable to study by full-time internal modes in metropolitan universities. The course aims to produce graduates who are committed to advancing social justice, human rights and thriving communities regionally, nationally and internationally through education, research, ethical practice and partnerships.

The Bachelor of Business blends foundational business studies with contemporary theory in the fields of either Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance or Strategic Planning and current industry practice. The course provides educational and professional qualification requirements needed to prepare students for general and specialist careers in their chosen fields. By completing either a minor study or pursuing electives of their choice, students obtain the opportunity to complement their qualification in an additional Business or non-Business area and enhance their career choice pathways. The Bachelor of Business aims to produce graduates who are knowledgeable, skilled, and highly capable in their fields to be work-ready. Students will have a strong sense of their own abilities; be confident, resilient, self-reliant, and able to address unforeseen and new challenges in today’s ever-changing workplace.

The aim of the Master of Professional Information Technology is to provide students with the theoretical knowledge along with technical and communication skills required to succeed as an Information Technology professional. Students will also acquire valuable research and problem-solving skills. Students will study a specialisation in the area of networking, data science, artificial intelligence, software development or cyber security. Students will also complete a suite of work integrated learning subjects culminating in a work placement in industry.

The Master of Professional Accounting (Professional Practice) aims to provide the formal educational requirements for entry to the profession of Accounting, and the opportunity to develop key professional and employability skills which can then be applied in practice through a work placement in industry. The degree is designed to build upon previous non-accounting undergraduate studies to provide graduates with relevant technical and theoretical knowledge of accounting and related disciplines. The program integrates professional communication skills, computer applications, and business ethics within the discipline of accounting. Through a series of work integrated learning activities, including a work placement, the course will prepare students for careers as professional accounting practitioners, for specialist and managerial positions in private or public practice, commerce, industry and the public sector.
