The MAcc Advanced Accounting with Placement is a new integrated undergraduate programme (combining undergraduate and Masters-level study in one four year course), replacing BSc Accounting. It is unique in the UK and Ireland in offering: - A Master's-level qualification with undergraduate fees for all four years; - Exemption from Chartered Accountants Ireland CAP1 & CAP2 exams (in full) and maximum permitted exemptions from other professional bodies; - A paid work-based placement during Semester Two of Year Four, together with a work-related research project; - Alternative exit point after three years with students awarded BSc Accounting.

The BSc Honours Biological Sciences Programme is designed to give graduates in-depth knowledge related to the diversity and complexity of living organisms and their interactions. This course allows students to study life (bacterial, fungal, plant, animal) at the molecular level through to whole populations and ecosystems. The programme is underpinned by an active research environment and aims to enable all students to develop comprehensive subject-specific knowledge with practical and transferable skills in the core areas of Zoology, Genetics, Marine Biology, Biochemistry and Microbiology whilst encouraging creative thinking, innovation and leadership. On completion of the programme successful students will have developed the knowledge and expertise required to pursue a research or other professional career in Biological Sciences.

The programme is built around the three core areas needed to succeed in analytics: business knowledge, statistics, and computing. This includes modules focusing on the application of analytics in core business functions such as marketing and human resources, as well as modules focusing on developing and applying technical skills such as advanced analytics and machine learning, text mining, data management, and data driven decision making. In total, students will study eight modules in addition to pre-course training and a final dissertation project. The dissertation project will involve the application of the business, technical, and statistical skills learnt during the courses.

The LLM Criminology and Criminal Justice Programme takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of crime and justice and draws on original staff research. Modules are rooted in relevant theoretical frameworks with a strong criminological focus and provide students with methodological training in addition to supporting the development of critical analysis and other transferable skills. Through the dissertation, students can explore a wide variety of criminological and criminal justice topics. Students are encouraged to develop a critical understanding of the criminal justice process and the practical operation of criminal law in a domestic and comparative context, and are given the opportunity to explore in-depth a particular criminal justice-related issue through the submission of a dissertation. The programme is delivered through a series of taught modules and culminates in the submission of the dissertation on an original topic.
