Our BSc Business Management focuses on organisations of all kinds from multinational corporations to social enterprises and charities. You will study core topics on analytical, physical, organic, inorganic, and solid-state chemistry, with the opportunity to take a wide range of optional modules from green and sustainable chemistry and drug development to heterogeneous catalysis and engineering biosynthesis. You can choose to add a Placement Year Abroad or Year in Industry at the end of your first year, subject to academic achievement. Computer Science is an exciting and dynamic field, full of opportunities for creative discovery and invention that touch almost all areas of modern life. On our Computer Science BSc you’ll learn how data is stored, processed, applied and kept secure by information processing systems. You’ll develop a grounding in programming languages, databases, operating systems, graphics, robotics and other sophisticated technologies as well as exploring software engineering subjects, such as software development. Designed for computing graduates who wish to differentiate themselves further through an advanced mastery of the discipline, this flagship programme offers exposure to contemporary topics that are driving key technological developments and trends. In addition to coverage of core advanced computer science topics, you may select from three research topics in which to specialise (Complex Systems, Visual Computing, Data and Knowledge Engineering). You will undertake an individual research project and complete a dissertation under the supervision of a member of academic research staff. The topic for this will be driven by your own interests. You will be provided with a laptop during induction week that will remain with you throughout the duration of the course.

The LLM Bar Training Course provides intensive postgraduate studies for those aiming to qualify as barristers while undertaking research at Master's level. Taken after undergraduate studies and before pupillage, the program equips students with the skills and knowledge required by the Bar Standards Board (BSB). It promotes a professional and ethical approach to practice and offers insights into a barrister’s working life. Teaching is scheduled between Monday and Thursday, with intensive advocacy sessions in small groups. Successful completion makes you eligible to be called to the Bar of England and Wales, subject to meeting Inn of Court requirements.

Led by a team of specialist staff in our newly updated computer laboratories, our MSc in Cyber Security will prepare you for one of the most in-demand roles of our time or a related research career. The International Relations MA provides a structure for the advanced study of an exciting disciplinary field. You’ll develop a full understanding of the development of the discipline of international relations and will be able to pursue specialist interests within a general framework. The programme bridges the sub-fields of international security, international relations theory, international law, foreign policy analysis, political philosophy, and political science. Our Law LLM programme allows you to study across the legal spectrum without focussing on one specific area of Law. It aims to offer you the knowledge and expertise to allow you to contribute more fully to your chosen profession through the development of intellectual competence and postgraduate skills. You can follow any of the modules available in the year of study from the lists of the specialised LLM programmes, and complete a dissertation.
